History
The Willwoods Community was established in 1978 by a group of married couples desiring to support the Catholic Church and the Southeast Louisiana community through prayer and service. Since then, Willwoods has grown to serve different areas, including Affordable Housing, Faith & Marriage, WLAE TV and TheDailyMass.com.
With God’s grace, we strive to increase the spiritual enrichment opportunities, programs and retreats offered to married couples. We create diverse faith communities where values such as truth, love, respect, compassion and mercy are joyfully embodied. And we aspire to increase the number of our sisters and brothers desiring to prayerfully follow the way of Jesus Christ.
The Willwoods Community motto, “Rooted in Prayer, United in Service” reminds us daily to remain open to God’s love and mercy as we dedicate ourselves to His service.
Mission Statement
We, the members of Willwoods Community, a Catholic faith community in the Archdiocese of New Orleans, are dedicated to promoting the sacramentality of marriage. With the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and the intercession of the Blessed Mother, we carry out this mission through prayer and service. Ever dependent on God’s loving gifts of grace, we seek to minister the corporal and spiritual works of mercy.

Through its programs of Faith and Marriage, Affordable Housing, WLAE-TV and TheDailyMass.com, we hope to become a beacon of hope and a channel of grace to those we serve.

Affordable Housing
Willwoods Housing will provide housing that is affordable, secure, and mirrors the needs of its residents. We will create communities based on the Christian principle of humble service; that is responsive to the residents’ needs. Employees of the Ministry will strive to be faithful and caring stewards of the community and its residents.
Faith & Marriage
Faith & Marriage is dedicated to promoting the Sacramentality of Marriage and providing for married couples opportunities for growth, enrichment, and support.
WLAE
WLAE is a trusted multi-media resource offering quality, values-based content and outreach increasing awareness of inspirational, cultural and educational services that positively impact the lives of the people of Southeast Louisiana.
The Daily Mass
Our ministry offers a daily mass online from historic St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans . The Catholic Mass is offered daily Sunday through Friday. Our mission is simple, Share His Love…Anywhere in the World!
