What is Willwoods' Faith & Marriage Ministry?

In today's fast-paced world, it's important for couples to have a resource to turn to in order to keep their marriages strong.  Willwoods is such a resource!  We provide many programs that couples can attend, as well as a library of books and videos to enrich and strengthen their sacrament.  Below is a brief look at the programs we offer.

WLAE-TV
Willwoods sponsors marriage enrichment television series at various times throughout the year.

Married Couples' Retreats
On a Married Couples' Retreat, we step back from our hectic pace to take a good look at our lives and our relationship with our spouse.  It's an opportunity to escape the noise, distractions, and pressures of life to focus on each other and God.

Supper & Substance
Supper & Substance is a simple, yet very positive approach to help couples in the church parish appreciate that Matrimony is a life-long process that requires their continual attention.  Parish committees create a romantic environment in an available parish facility by dimming lights, playing romantic music, decorating the facility to support the selected theme, having candlelight at tables and offering a simple, yet delicious meal (SUPPER) complete with wine and desert.  Supper is followed by a presentation by a couple that shares the joys and struggles they have experienced over the years living their sacrament (SUBSTANCE).

Couple of the Month
The Willwoods Community recognizes couples that exemplify true Christian marriages with a certificate, an article in the Clarion Herald, and a promotional spot on WLAE-TV.  Couples are nominated by their pastor and each month is represented by a different deanery in the Archdiocese.
